Package Pickup:

Race day package Pickup is at the start finish line, at the Bud Miller All Season Park Picnic Area, from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM. See the parking section below for a map.

Parking:

We have access to all Bud Miller parking as well as the parking lot both in front and behind Lakeland College. This is a short walk to our start finish line at the Camp area of Bud Miller Park. We ask that if you live close to the park that you consider walking, or consider carpooling if you are in a group.

Course:

Our race course is a park trail based course in the beautiful Bud Miller All Seasons Park in Lloydminster, AB. The course is a 5 KM loop, with a 300 meter extension for half marathoners. The half marathoners will do the extended loop all 4 times. The course is approximately 50% asphalt bike path, 40% dirt and 10 % gravel. Also, there are a couple sharp corners. Course marking will be a mix of flags and signs.

Aid stations:

There will be 2 aid stations on course, one at the start finish line and one by the lake on the west side of the course by the gated community. The far aid station will have water and carb drink (Tailwind), as well as GU brand gels. The start/finish line aid station will have water, carb drink and GU Gels gels as well, and also bananas, oranges, milk, chocolate milk, and chips to enjoy post run. If you require special race nutrition please have it on your person. Please remember to thank the aid station staff who are volunteers from our sponsor pureREVIVAL.

Timing system:

We are using a Zone4 timing system that utilizes battery powered ankle bracelets. Please secure these to your ankle before the race . As this is a chip timed event your race will start when you cross the start line, and your official time will be based on this time, not the gun time. Immediately after crossing the finish line and receiving your medal, please give your timing chip to a volunteer. Please note that failure to return the timing ankle bracelet after the raise will result in a $100 charge to the same credit card used to register for the race.

SWAG:

All racers get a t shirt (only guaranteed before cutoff, however we order extra to try to ensure everyone gets one), race bag, finishers medal, and other surprise SWAG items (previous years have included buffs and race belts).

Complimentary Race Day Photography:

Please be advised that we will have photographers on course taking race photos. These are free of charge and will be linked to our website in the days after the race: https://lloydminsterrunners.com/past-races/. All of the race photos will be uploaded to Google Drive and made publically available. If you DO NOT wish your photos to be posted publicly, you can opt out of race photos by submitting a letter requesting this to the race directors. Please submit in person on race day or at package pickup and we will delete your photos from the upload.

8:45 AM – 5 KM race awards ceremony

9:15 AM – 10 KM race awards ceremony

10:00 AM – Kids Fun Run Package Pickup

10:30 AM – 21.1 KM race awards ceremony

11:00 AM – Kids Fun Run Start

12:00 PM – Race course closure
